Connie provides administrative support to Dean/HSS including budget preparation and control; supervision and training of junior staff; coordination of support services to the School in academic and personnel matters.
Dr. Lian Bai assists the Dean to advance the international profile of the School by facilitating the formulation of new international and mainland strategies and the building of international and mainland collaborative partnerships. She helps to design and implement an array of new degree-, summer-, and executive-programs that have international components. Dr. Bai also helps develop the School-wide Teaching Development Projects and serves as a liaison person with university bodies for the upcoming Quality Assurance Audits.
Christine helps to provide executive support to the Dean and serve as an administrative liaison person between the Dean and other administrators. She organizes and orchestrates the flow of activities, calendars, timeliness, correspondence, and meetings; assists in School-wide activities, as well as administration of the new PDR system.
Mandy provides administrative support for the School’s faculty affairs such as recruitment, appointments, promotion and research. She gives also executive support to the operations of the office including liaising with internal departments/units and external parties.
Vicky helps to coordinate school activities; provision of a wide range of general administration services including office accommodation, management of consequential work and oversees office space planning; maintaining the School’s website, liaise with University’s departments and external organizations; and provide support in the Dean’s Office.
Heidi works closely with the Associate Dean (UG) for the direction, coordination and overall management of the UG Programs (including both Major & Minor Programs), student outreach and recruitment.
Yuki provides executive support to the operations of MA in Chinese Culture and MA in Social Science programs, including admissions, handling enquiries and correspondence, program events and various Quality Assurance (QA) initiatives.
Stacey provides executive support to the operations of the MA in International Language Education. She will also provide administrative support for admissions, handling enquiries and correspondence, liaising with international departments/units and external parties, organizing events and activities for students.
Freda provides clerical support to School of Humanities and Social Science.
Secretarial support to the Dean and provides secretarial/logistics support to meeting scheduling and reception arrangement.
Grace provides assistance to the Dean’s Office in various activities, including administrative and logistics support to the meetings, handling correspondences and enquires, assisting in compilation of reports etc.
Polly provides administrative support to the operations of UG program, handles student enquiries and advisory matters, provides administrative support to recruitment activities of international and mainland students, international learning experience sponsorship, internship program, etc.
Tina provides daily support to the operations of the academic programs including liaising with internal departments/units and external parties, handling correspondence, making arrangements for meetings, organizing events, managing projects, dealing with enquiries, general administrative support etc.
Angi provides administrative coordination support for SHSS creative arts education course and event initiatives and School-level publications and events.
Anita handles tasks related to the SHSS creative arts education and IAS HKUST Music Alive! Initiatives, including purchasing, and basic artist/guest and venue matters.
Tess provides general administrative support to the UG team. Her duties include: performing secretarial duties such as filing and answering e-mail and telephone enquiries; drafting of correspondence; English and Chinese word processing; preparing for meetings; gathering and compiling data; and assisting in event coordination and ad hoc projects, etc.
Jovy helps to develop and deliver online courses for the Master of Arts in International Language Education (MA-ILE) program. She also plans and designs course materials, lecture videos and online assessments.
April performs general office duties to Dean’s Office.
Teresa provides executive support to the Division in academic and financial related matters, and matters pertaining to the running of the Division. She also serves as Office Manager and Inter-Departmental Liaison Person of the Division.
Ada provides administrative and coordination support to the three programs of the Division: Public Humanities Lectures, Quality Assurance, and Humanities Undergraduate Program. She also handles matters relating to faculty’s research grants, seminars and events, petty cash and hotline enquiries.
Hermia provides secretarial support to the Division Head. She is also mainly responsible for all personnel matters including faculty’s recruitments, substantiations and promotions as well as contract renewals of faculty and staff in the Division.
Phil provides computer and AV technical support for the Division of Humanities and the Dean’s Office.
Rita provides clerical support to the Division of Humanities.
Kitty provides administrative support to the Division’s research postgraduate programs. She also provides support to the Program Service and Advising Office.
Dora provides executive support to the Division in academic and financial related matters, and matters pertaining the running of the division. She also serves as office manager and Inter-departmental-liaison-person of the Division.
Josephine provides secretarial support to Head of Division of Social Science.
Henry provides computer-related support to the Division of Social Science and Social Science Laboratory.
Peggy provides administrative support to the Division; assists in the running of seminar series, workshops and student activities; and assists in course related issues.
Annika provides administrative support to the Division; handles general enquires, faculty allowance, inventory stocktake; and assists in course related matters.
Wendy provides administrative support to SOSC Research Postgraduate programs. She also provides support to the Program Service and Advising Office.
Meggy helps to provide executive and secretarial support to the Center Director of CCTR. She is responsible for liaising with University’s departments and external organizations, organizing CCTR conferences and center promotion.
Maggie is mainly responsible for the coordination work of a household survey conducted by CASER, and perform administrative duties for the Center.
Jenny is the contact person of the office. She also helps the Director to coordinate Center’s research activities and administrative issues.
Candice is the most senior member of CLE’s administrative staff and responsible for a number of administrative and management areas, including financial control, human resources management and course administration.
Doris is responsible for a number of administrative areas related to the language courses and student activities organized by CLE. She assists with the management of the General Office and serves as a liaison person in coordinating and cooperating with internal and external parties.
Joan provides administrative support for the Informal Curriculum for Language Learning (iLANG) Team and administrative and logistical support for iLANG events. She also oversees the overall operation of the Language Commons under the supervision of the Coordinator of iLANG Team.
Andrew provides administrative support for ELPA (English Language Proficiency Assessment), including the organization of technical support and the handling of student inquiries. He also analyzes test data and helps oversee IT-based developments of the ELPA test.
Christy provides administrative support for ELPA (English Language Proficiency Assessment), including the organization of logistical requirements and management of test data. She is also involved in the analysis of test data.
Jova provides logistical and administrative support for CLE.
Carra provides administrative and clerical support for the Informal Curriculum for Language Learning (iLANG) Team and logistical support for iLANG events. She also assists in overseeing the overall operation of the Language Commons and providing clerical support to CLE staff.
Carman provides administrative and clerical support for the delivery of the Informal Curriculum for Language Learning (iLANG) events and oversees the day-to-day operation of the Language Commons. She also handles student and staff enquiries related to iLANG and the Language Commons.
Carmen performs general office duties for CLE.
Coney performs a receptionist role for CLE and handling enquiries from students and staff.
Elaine provides administrative and clerical support for CLE.
Angela is the personal secretary of the CLE Director.
Bronson is responsible for the School’s IT support services and equipment, including the allocation of IT resources, strategic IT planning, oversight of IT performance, supervision of the IT team, monitoring projects, coordination of applications development, and cooperating with system administrators from other departments. He is also a member of CLE’s IT committee.
Felix provides designing support for the School from concept planning to design to production, which includes course materials, posters, leaflets, eboard announcements, and websites. He also assists with providing general IT support to users.
Johannes provides IT support for the School, including equipment setup and installation, providing training and workshops, stock taking, and assisting in equipment resources planning. He also assists with maintaining software systems and graphical design.
Mandy provides software support to the School, including applications development, troubleshooting applications issues, and providing technical expertise in assessing new IT software projects. She also assists with maintaining software systems.
Michael provides IT support for the School, which including the installation of software systems, setting up security measures, and assisting in the enhancement of existing software systems. He also assists with online applications design and maintenance.
Rocky provides IT support for the School, including the installation of hardware and network equipment, troubleshooting computer issues, and offering onsite technical support. He also assists with online applications design and maintenance.
